Cleansing Your Body With Water

You should focus on increasing the amount of fluid you intake in order to detox your body regularly. The best way to detox your body is to increase liquids and decrease fats and proteins in your diets. This will decrease the build up of toxins and enhance detoxification.
You need to increase the consumption of filtered water, herb teas, fruits and vegetables. Fiber rich foods should also be taken along with liquids. This will assist in eliminating toxins from the body. Remember that fasting and colon cleansing are not required for detoxification.

Experts feel that water is very important for detoxifying the body. It can actually clean you via your skin and kidneys. It also enhances sweating with exercises.

If you are looking for detoxifying your body naturally, then you should concentrate on drinking filtered water, not tap or bottled because impurities will interfere with the detoxing process.

It is not right to drink water only when you are thirsty because as one gets older the sense of thirst stops working. Now, this doesn't mean that one requires less water. In fact, the need of water increases as one ages. Hence, you need to keep providing good amount of water to your body.

Most people in this world are chronically dehydrated so you need to maintain proper schedule to count water in back.

To provide proper hydration to your body, you should drink good amount of water, and it's best if the water is filtered. There's a reason you always see health and beauty magazines recommending to have at least eight full glasses of water each day - because it's good for you.

Try to drink at least sixty four ounces on a daily basis. That's the minimum you may drink more if you like.

Help prevent breast cancer by eating healthier

People are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of diet in preventing different kinds of cancers. Numerous studies have been done recently that indicate the possibility of preventing breast cancer by maintaining a healthier diet.

Time and again, nutritional experts have stressed the importance of eating low-fat, high fiber foods that are nutrient rich and cutting down on foods that are high in fat. This kind of a high-fiber, low-fat diet has a lot of benefits besides promising to prevent breast cancer. A low-fat, high-fiber diet is ideal for people who want to lose weight and improve fitness and it also decreases the chances of getting serious diseases such as obesity and diabetes and possibly even breast cancer.

How important is it to cut fat? One of the best ways of eating healthier in order to prevent breast cancer is to cut down on fats, especially the fats present in dairy foods and meat. To increase your protein intake, focus on lower fat white meats like turkey, poultry and chicken, which have high protein and less fat. Fish is also an excellent low-fat, high- protein food and you should include lots of it in your diet. Another way to get enough protein without the extra fat is to substitute meats with legumes, lentils and beans. Studies show that a soybean-rich diet affords considerable protection against breast cancer.

To prevent breast cancer, it is equally important to cut back on the fat present in dairy foods. The availability of nonfat and low fat varieties of milk, ice cream, yogurt and other dairy foods makes it easier to get the recommended daily dose of other vitamins and minerals without the excess fat.

The method of preparation of dairy products and meats is equally important. Grilling and stewing meats use less cooking fat and is preferred over frying in order to help prevent breast cancer. Pan frying and deep-frying should be avoided as far as possible as both these methods use large amounts of oil and significantly increase the amount of calories you consume.
When you do use oil, it is advisable to use polyunsaturated fats that are healthier rather than the unhealthier animal based saturated fats. Olive oil and soybean oil are two of the best kinds of vegetable oils and using these oils for cooking go a long way in helping to eat healthier.

You should also reduce processed foods. Replacing fatty snacks, highly processed foods and sugary foods with healthier wholemeal foods like pastas, rice and potatoes helps. Including the recommended five servings of vegetables and fruit in your daily diet is very important too. Eating a large variety of fruit and vegetables has a lot of other benefits besides helping prevent breast cancer. Cancer prevention is just one reason why you should enjoy a healthier diet.

Red Wine: Get Drunk - Get Healthy

It's been a long day. Your boss was a total jerk, your coworkers thought it would be funny glue your coffee mug to your desk, and you sat in rush hour traffic for 2 hours on your way home.

You need a drink!

Before you go for a beer, or the hard stuff. Listen to what Yale New Haven Hospital has to say about red wine...

"Recently, researchers have found that moderate red wine consumption may be
beneficial to more than just your heart. One study found that the antioxidant
resveratrol, which is prevalent in the skin of red grapes, may inhibit tumor
development in some cancers. Another study indicated that resveratrol aided in
the formation of nerve cells, which experts believe may be helpful in the
treatment of neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s."

Wow all that, and it gets you buzzed! So if life has got you down why not pour yourself a glass of red wine and drink to your health

Ginkgo Biloba Good For Your Brain and Sex Life

The popular nutritional supplement ginkgo biloba is know for helping with memory and brain function.

Ginko is a anticoagulant, which means it will thin your blood. Don't worry, for most people that's a good thing. By thinning your blood you'll see improved circulation. This means more blood going to your brain AND for men this can actually help with erectile dysfunction.

Like many nutritional supplements you won't see the dramatic results you get with prescription drugs, so don't look for a "4 hour erection" like you get with Viarga by taking ginko biloba, but with consistent use it could help.

Tasty And Healthy Blueberry Ice Tea Recipe

The sweet and tasty blueberry goes great with your bowl of morning cereal. And I've never heard anyone complain about blueberry muffins, or blueberry pancakes for that matter.

But how about a tasty blueberry ice tea to cool you off during the hot summer...

Here's a recipe for a cool summer drink that combines blueberries with another super health food, green tea. All you do is brew your green tea first. It's important that you let the tea steep before you add the berries because the cold berries could interfere with the steeping process. After the tea has steeped for about five minutes strain the loose tea leaves, or pull out the tea bags then add the blueberries. I like to mash them up a little bit before I add them to the hot tea. Let them green tea with the blueberries sit for about 20 minutes, and then you can serve the drink over ice.

This is a great tasting drink with very little calories, and it's good for you! Some people find that green tea is a little bitter. If that's the case you can use white tea which is sweeter tasting.

Garlic and Why You Should Eat It

Besides being good at chasing away vampires, and adding delicious goodness to most meals garlic is also very healthy. People different cultures have been using garlic for 1000's years, and now it's even being looked at as a way to fight cancer. Can garlic cure cancer? I doubt it, but it might help.

Garlic is also used as a healing agent, and to promote overall health and well being.

One of the draw backs of taking garlic has always been the bad breath factor. If you're eating fresh garlic this is unavoidable. If you don't mind using supplements you can find orderless garlic.
